LNL .com Question

I have an opportunity to purchase an LNL.com domain for less than $200 (not much less, though). The letters in the name would be considered premium. Now while I have the money to buy the domain, I don't exactly want to waste it. If I knew, at minimum, I could resell it for the same amount (even a little less) at about any time, I'd go for it. In everyone's opinion here, is this worth the "gamble"? Obviously LLL is the way to go, but just about any CCC .com has some value (at least over other domains). If I were to purchase it and hold on to it, would it's value increase or would I even be lucky to break even?

I appreciate your input and insight. Thank you.

Depends on the name, it's hard to say without knowing the name. But still if you have the time and don't mind waiting for the right moment to sell, I'd say you should be able to break even. Now, the question is why do you want to take the risk of buying this name and holding onto it, just to break even at the end?

I certainly don't want to break even, but as a worst case scenario, I was hoping that if it could not be sold for a profit, I wouldn't lose money.

LNL is almost always a domainer's domain. LNL, LLN and NLL are all overpriced CCC novelties to domainers. Similar to LLLL, but a much worse outlook of finding an end user.

Many years ago I ran a site that was keywordNL.com. I was able to buy the abreviated LNL.com for just $35, and that is all it was worth to me at the time (I'm thinking this was 2002). I even hesitated spending that $35 just to save my frequent visitors a few keystrokes. Today that same domain would cost around $200 because domainers, not developers, have increased the demand.

In my opinion LLN, NLL and LNL are facing a similar crash to LLLL.

BNZ,

also keep in mind what letters and numbers that are and if/what they could be used for...

L8R.com coudl always be used in conjunction with the internet Lingo... L EIGHT R, sounded out LATER.

however

L7R.com not the same application there...

D2Y.com Delivered 2 You
D6Y.com not really much there..

So when buying these types think about possible application use for others... Not ALL NLN LNL domains are bad not all are good either.. use judgement...

I own one which you can see in my signature... and I would buy others if the price was right and possible use was there... but as far as totally random ones like Q9G.com I wouldnt have a desire for those...
