Im new to this domain thingy.
How much do you think this domain is?
I would really appreciate any appraisals, if possible say the reasons why it is at that price.
Thanks!

on point and easy memorable, would value it ~500$ since there were many similar sales around that.

Thank you for that appraisal.
The GD price said it was worth around that, but I dont want to get my hopes too high.
Anybody, else has appraisals for this? I'd really appreciate any thoughts.

The only "lmao" at the beggining in .com I can see on nambio is below

Domain Price Date Venue
lmaomemes.com 101 USD 2014-05-13 GoDaddy

Who do you think would buy the name? The only possibility that makes sense would be an online store selling LMAO clothes or merchandise - which you could do yourself.

I can't see someone paying $500 for it - I personally would look at the $50 - $100 range / list at top price everywhere you can and accept the first offer that comes your way.

In my opinion, LMAO is too long an acronym and is not widely used like lol etc. Like @MrAcidic said, I would also suggest to develop a website around it and see if it can sell for a handsome amount. Or else I don't quite see much value in it.

crazyjokes.com 330 USD 2018-07-28 NameJet
yourjokes.com 211 USD 2018-02-10 GoDaddy
morejokes.com 505 USD 2017-12-27 Flippa
mustsharejokes.com 125 USD 2017-07-28 GoDaddy
jokesweb.com 205 USD 2017-05-17 GoDaddy
funnytinyjokes.com 172 USD 2017-04-17

just the latest.
If crazyjokes goes for 330, why not lmaojokes for 500? :-P
Personally, I like the term alot and to lmao reading jokes seems like a good deal.
also, lmao is being more widely used in the last time, see it more often than rofl.
Everyone has a right to their own opinion and the OP has asked for them.

Out of the examples you have provided, I would suggest 3 of them (your, more and jokes) would even come close to being a business name the other 2 are not suitable. Only one (more) has a value of $500+ and is a MUCH better name for business purposes than "lmao jokes", the other two I mentioned went for circa $200.

The OP's name is not as good as these, so I will stick with my valuation - which might be to generous.......

Thanks for your opinions. I still don't know the exact range for pricing, because I feel like the domain is good and bad at the same time.
Anyways, when I try to sell this domain, can I use the fact that rofljokes.com is a premium domain in GoDaddy and is priced at $1700+? Also, LMAO is more popular than ROFL and I think that could be a good reason to make the price a lil bit higher.

don't pay any attention to Godaddy appraisals or any appraisal tool for that matter

If you are new to the industry, I would spend some time going this site and reading before buying anymore names, good place to start is below....

If you were going to start a jokes website of sort, would you buy your own domain, for $$$ or more, or would you just find something else that is available ?
I think the odds of a sale are remote here. People are less likely to buy aftermarket domains for a website that is going to be low-key, weakly-monetized. More like a pet project than a real business. Yes, this is a sweeping statement here.

well I could imagine someone with no financial interest buying it simply to promote his comedy.
not only greedy domain selling scum like us in this world
if rofljokes becomes a big site, many people will also look up lmaojokes - if I'm not the only one doing stuff like that with sites I like :-P

Why some people feel it's on point is that as an entrepreneur starting their own websites, it's a solid domain for the memes / jokes category. But the reselling potential is low because this category isn't easily monetised I guess.
