LLLLLLL.com Names - Are you Investing?

With LLLL.coms selling out fast and LLLLL.com names sparking plenty of interest its only a matter of time before 7L.coms start flying off the shelf.

Time to be ahead of the game folks, and here's why....

1) There can't be that many. Theres 4000 LLL.com. Multiply that by 2 and a bit, and you get 9000ish 7L.coms.....right...?!?

2) Look at all the huge 7 Letter names:

Amazon.com, MySpace.com, GoDaddy.com, NYTimes.com, Youtube.com. Blogger.com, Google.com, Ebay.com etc...

3) Check DNJournal: Seniors.com $1,800,000, Chinese.com $1,1200,000, Dollars.com $650,000 etc...

Are you in on the LLLLLLL.com rush?

Time for me to make a "LLLLLLLL.com names, why haven't you invested yet?" hype thread.

And remember that the more letters a name has, the more possibilities.

One could say that there are XXX 7 letter names worth, say 100k+ and make the conclusion that 7 letter names are as good as 2 letter ones. Do you see how this is faulty thinking?

There are only 676 2-letter .coms, each arguably worth ~100k or more. In comparison, there are more 7 letter names (~8B) than there are people on Earth. Until everyone on Earth is a domainer hoaring hundreds of names each, the average LLLLLLL.com (7 L's) will not be worth reg fee.

Even with the LLLLL.com (5 L's) discussion currently taking place... People are placing emphasis on quality, brandable names. Amazon is a great 6L name -- no doubt worth a lot of money, even if undeveloped. Godaddy and Myspace on the other hand are pretty bad names -- valuable only for the content and services their owners make available on them.

Absolutely true and the point of my original post.

As a big .in investor I was a little queasy with the recent rush to buy out LLL.in simply because they were LLL.

Similarly the thought of buying LLLL.com or LLLLL.com simply because they just have four or five letters seems pretty misguided.

Thank god was a satire... I was almost ready with a "wtf?" reply :]

There's some people here on the forum that are clearly trying to wind up the hype over LLLL.com, while I still believe that many of them hold no value, the ones remaining in the first place. It's just funny to read the many funny acronyms they come up with once they register a new 4L.com

As you can see from my sig. I jumped on the LLLL.com train myself, but just because I think that having a really short pronunciable name, for a new web company, would be an added value, which not everyone will be able to afford in the future.
By the way, who would have ever tell a few years ago that bad lettered LLL.com would sell for thousands?

I personally think that stretching beyond LLLL.coms is stupidity, and regging non pronounceable LLLL.coms with bad letters is even more stupidity.

I can't really see XJZQ.com as worth anything.

And there are just too many LLLLL.coms to even worry. The chance of finding an end user is very slim.
