Looks like we are nearing the 200k mark thanks to the recent godaddy $4 sale.

14-Nov-2008 10:48 GMT - New Record:
201,046 available LLLL.net

Here are some updated stats I have compiled about how many triple premiums of each kind are still available (the number in parenthesis is the change since Sept 3):

Triple+U: 4545 (-748)
Triple+W: 6209 (-251)
Triple+K: 6967 (-561)
Triple+Y: 7180 (107)
Triple+V: 8435 (-67)
Triple+J: 8629 (15)
Triple+X: 10160 (35)
Triple+Z: 10429 (19)
Triple+Q: 13448 (71)

It looks like people have been going after U and K the most, followed by W. Some of the worst letters have actually seen more drops than new regs in this time.

I can account for a lot of the U's & K's as I've registered about 1,000 recently. I will also be registering quite a lot more so should be able to get it down to the 200K mark myself soon (not accounting for drops that is).

In terms of non-premium letter preferences, it is interesting to compare this list ...

I made a chart of all available LLLL.net showing how many have each letter in each position. Remember this is how many remain, so a lower percentage is better as it means more are taken.

Code:
y	5.03%	3.94%	4.75%	3.41%	17.13%
u	5.07%	3.88%	4.16%	4.39%	17.50%
w	4.09%	5.08%	4.69%	5.24%	19.10%
j	4.21%	4.99%	5.16%	5.29%	19.65%
k	4.45%	5.24%	5.19%	4.84%	19.71%
z	5.09%	5.18%	5.46%	4.83%	20.55%
x	5.30%	5.51%	5.77%	4.22%	20.81%
v	5.79%	5.57%	5.92%	5.96%	23.23%
q	6.11%	6.79%	6.57%	6.32%	25.79%

Some notable points of difference but one thing is clear: Q is the worst.

Just have registered GAXY .net - How about it?
(from dropped now)

Edited.
Google search for gaxy - 21,000
but for gaxy.net - 14,000,000
----------------------------------
I don't understand how may be that?

Wow that is strange. Seems when you put Gaxy.net in search it brings up tons of Galaxy + Net related results.

I think Google considers gaxy.net as typo (read synonym) of galaxy.net

You need to put a + sign in front to eliminate typos, etc.

Like this...

Results 1 - 10 of about 3,670 for +gaxy.net. (0.19 seconds)

Although 3,670 is still a lot for a LLLL with extension. I would check the waybackmachine to see what it was before. You probably have traffic.

The Norwegian and German extensions are taken - the .no is developed.
Personally I would counter offer, but that's me and I have lost buyers this way.
Though you could then go back and accept their original offer if they lose interest, something I didn't do...
In any case, good luck!

Thanks, I am willing to lose the sale and try for a bit more. Will keep you updated.

Also had a lowball offer on Keyd.net and turned it down

If you participated in the buyout I hope that you had a 24 to 48 month plan. I've been very luck and have sold 3 to end users for a average of mid $### since the buyout. I'm still bullish on the market but I will let my those of lower quality (NOT Quads) drop and pick up better quality on the aftermarket.

One thing I've got to say is that you have to be reasonable. Just because you see strange combo LLLL.net's selling for $1,### at DNJ don't expect for all end users to immediately be willing to pay that much. Some will search around for cheaper alternatives and some will wait several months to see if you let it drop. Getting $4##-$6## off of a $7 investment is quite nice. Plus the fact if you sell just a couple this year the rest of your portfolio can be extended for 1 or 2 years. This will give the rest of your portfolio an extra 24 months to produce sales. Adding 24 months will greatly increase your odds of a sale if you have quality.

That being said, we are in an extremely tough market right now and sales will be slowed significantly going forward IMO.

cheers

I didn't participate in the buyout - I just like to pick up tasty names @ snap when I can get a decent price and the mood strikes.

Are you getting unsolicited offers from just having your names available on sedo or do you actively market your llll.nets?
