This domaining sector offers potentially larger returns than traditional revenue or traffic based domain names, however with this investment opportunity comes extravagant risk.

epasaport this was quite clearly directed at everyone. The fact that your post was 1 of the ones deleted is merely a coincidence.

If you are not happy about having a post deleted PM me and we can discuss it there.

The quicker the market gets floded with these, the quicker ours goes up in value.

Other way around :( look at LLLL.com's right after buyout, everyone held theirs, the ones that were being sold were crappy and going for $75 now the same domains are going for $45 when everyone is selling crap. A flooded market is never good. Well bruno won't be affected with his domains, but those of us with the lower end of the premium spectrum will suffer

crap is crap no matter how much you shine it. The people who flooded the market were the ones who realized this. Sell the junk before people catch on...

LOL, Well, I'm also affected, in fact everyone is. The fact that I own a couple of goodies doesn't mean a flooded market doesn't affect me, the point for me is:

"Having the cash to hold till the buyout" (period)

If you do you will laugh like a maniac, for that I'm getting back to adsense, adbrite, zango, clickcash and another 100 ways of making money online. :)

BTW... just got another quad premium at TDNAM for 5 bucks + RF.. can't remember which is was...

**Checks**

Ah yes... GBRG.net it was. :p

then explain why LLL.com's have appreciated in value.
My reasoning:
1. XX,XXX of them available - price $35
2. 0 of them available, XX,XXX for sale - price $100
3. 0 available, X,XXX for sale - price $6,000
until they are developed and less are for sale the price isn't going to skyrocket.
Sure there is the end user factor, but let's face it, plenty of these domains will be passed around as collectibles and nothing more. people like rare

I agree with you shenron and that's what I am working on now. Ways to have these domains basically make enough money to pay for themselves plus a little extra.

Building the perfect lander is my current goal as I try and get away from parked type companies. :)

Speculation that is!

Gold in September last year - ~$650 per ounce (I'm glad I have bought a few dozen ounces, but that's another story :p)

Today - $1020

Is there less Gold? Is there more more Gold? Any new Goldmine? Any hundreds of tons sold to end-users?

Plain NO!

I call it speculation... been doing it for 15 years now. :p

**500 posts for me** :D

Interesting article:

Hm, so why do you think there is appreciation in value for domains?
Are you saying that a flooded market won't lower the value?
Supply and demand baby, it's the basis for capitalism.
The less there are, the more the value.
Look at toys from the 1800s back then they were worth say $5 USD, then in 1910 they were worth $1, now they are worth $500 (inflation aside)
People are always gonna be in love with things that the average joe can't egt his hands on

Yes Bobby, you're partially right, but never ever forget 2 factors:

1-Steady Supply - You can't get more letters... it's 26^4
2 - Raising demand - It's a long term game, but demand will strongly get over... in 5 years 5 letters will be the "forums talk" imho... :)

Oh! And the average Joe can't get his hands on a LLLL.net or a .COM... you know why?

He has no idea about these, and in 5 years they're more valuable than mobile phone numbers... :)

Wanna bet?

it's not exactly a steady supply, as the domains get developed, there will be less and less available. Sure for the right price they can be bought, but let's face it, most of us domainers aren't buying old developed sites just for the rarity of the name, not all of have deep pockets.

Yes, you're right, so you're helping the cause here...

Raising demand vs dropping supply...

Prices go?

Up!!!
