Sadly, I think most here would - including me. I would be out of the gate faster than RoadRunner and bag every single one of them I could.
In many ways this would end up with most of the good names being parked and ultimately killing the beauty of .TV.
That beauty being we have a vibrant extension because so many people genuinely develop their .tv names.
I used to really HATE the premium system- but can now fully understand its economic / cultural positives for the future of the extension as a whole.
The fact is simple: If I want to set up XXX.TV, the $500 a year will be a small amount in my overall spend for creating that channel and maintaining it every year. To a pure domainer that $500 is a simple - yet beautiful barrier.
There are many here who have committed to $5,000 and $10,000 a year premium names. That makes them serious players who really must have had to think long and hard about what they are doing.
There are also others here who have taken the bIG gamble on buying bIG league / bIG premium names, tried selling them, and then had to let them drop.
If the premium on names disappeared, so would the extensions future credibility - and I for one am in for the long haul.
