Sadly, I think most here would - including me. I would be out of the gate faster than RoadRunner and bag every single one of them I could.

In many ways this would end up with most of the good names being parked and ultimately killing the beauty of .TV.

That beauty being we have a vibrant extension because so many people genuinely develop their .tv names.

I used to really HATE the premium system- but can now fully understand its economic / cultural positives for the future of the extension as a whole.

The fact is simple: If I want to set up XXX.TV, the $500 a year will be a small amount in my overall spend for creating that channel and maintaining it every year. To a pure domainer that $500 is a simple - yet beautiful barrier.

There are many here who have committed to $5,000 and $10,000 a year premium names. That makes them serious players who really must have had to think long and hard about what they are doing.

There are also others here who have taken the bIG gamble on buying bIG league / bIG premium names, tried selling them, and then had to let them drop.

If the premium on names disappeared, so would the extensions future credibility - and I for one am in for the long haul.

Ditto Jimbo!

I was totally against the premium deal for a long time.
Then took a step back and looked at it from a different perspective,
Premium pricing allows developers to get a great name to develop if those names were owned and parked by domainers looking to cash in the extension would lose substance,
.com has a massive headstart but great .tv sites will see .tv become a viable alternative.

Personally I would register *ONLY* a few, even at $25/yr.

I do not invest in a name like zxh.tv or qwh.tv

Instead of playing with junk LLL.tv names, I would invest in foreign language .tv names, since there are thousands of one word prime keywords left in many foreign languages.

If they made sense I would. Looking at the .tv's that are already succesfull and those that have sold, they all seem be be similar to names of actual tv shows. I cant really comprehend why a business would want a name that doesnt make sense? But I know domainers make lots of money flipping these.
And I agree with .tv on the language names, there are lots of them, and I think there are quite a few geos left as well, if you are willing to put the time in.

I would grab every available LLL.TV one when GoDaddy did one of their $14.99 or $19.99 sales and never look back.
