I see alot of posts here about domains of 3 characters and just wondering what the fasination is with them as they do seen to be really popular. Just curious as I've been having a nosey through a few 3 letter words that come to mind and wondering if it's worth buying one I've spotted that's LNL.in

and more importantly, LLL.com's are all taken, therefore they are in high demand.

Personally, I don't see much value in 3 character domains (even with .coms) with the exception of LLL and NNN domains. I may be in the minority on this one, but IMO, 3 char domains do not lend themselves to end users unless they are LLL.

Ah right, I see the point now. It just seemed a popular theme throughout some of the posts I've read here and elsewhere so I was curious :)

Thanks for replying

If you're looking at .IN, then there are a lot of good LLL.in domains still available. Look around a little and I'm sure you'll find some good ones.

There are some combinations of NLL or LNN that produce results
Also have in mind that some 3 letters were used by sub domain forwarding services in the past, so this gives some traffic. I have at least one to my portfolio that works like that.

I've been meaning to ask a question relevant to this: are NNL.info's worth more than their reg fee? (keeping in mind that that is like $3 ;))
