Just thought I would post a quick message to say I am missing the daily banter here at namepros. That exciting 'everything is possible' attitude that so many of us have become accustomed to over the past few months.
I know I'm not the only one who really comes along to read what's being said and take private messages these days rather than participate fully in the way they used to.
The reason for this behaviour among so many of the regular names is really obvious - we're all involved in making things happen! Now that's the only news most of us should be interested in. We're doing things - making it happen - building the ideas in real time in real life.
So, I for one would like to offer my apologies for not contributing on a daily basis - but it is for a good reason.
For those friends here looking for examples of 'doing the do' I would like to offer the fact that I am no longer in the 'bunker' in Germany, simply buying names, but have fully taken the plunge and am now permanently in the UK in our non-descript, but purposeful, office. Everything feels new and full of life. I have put up the money myself and we now have a salaried staff of four plus a project manager who is working free of charge for a slice of the action at a later date.
I would love to detail the project to everyone here - but until we are ready there is little point in doing so. However, I did want to pass on the message that my own belief in internet TV (and by definition the TV.com and .TV extensions) is extremely high. My commitment involves outlaying much of my life savings - now you don't get any scarier / exciting / emotional / hardheaded proof of faith than spending what it took so long to acquire in the first place.
I am not alone - there are many members here working on great projects - and the fruits of these may not be seen for some time. The one thing ALL can be sure of is the fact that for the moment quite a number here are putting their money where their words used to be.
The naysayers will still be talking long after we have either made our dreams come true or died trying.
Good luck to all those others making projects happen. Without you, these simple names would mean nothing.
I'm positive. Can the other project makers please let the world know they are positive too.
