Just wanted to create a thread to help fellow domainers to not get scammed.

As domainers we "should" always check the whois of any store that "miraculously" has 3M masks or hand sanitizers or even aloe vera.

Let me start with one that got me good.

SafetysMask.com regged 2020-02-23
and it's sister site Luckybest.site 2019-12-10

and now just found this one below.
https://katastore.site/index.php/germ-x-moisturizing-original-hand-sanitizer-30-oz.html

was looking at handsanitizer found them online via Google suggestions.

I will share more as I find them. But if you come across some who are targetting people who are desperate to find products right now. Please do share.

And here's more. Found this as an ad on nbc-2.com.

The "shady" website is below.

Pleasanty.com registered 2020-12-01

LYING ??????? :ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:(y)

Hate scammers but this is another subject all on it's own as it isn't really domain related. Publicly shame them would be best avenue so their neighbors hate them.

actually it fits under a discussion on scammers using domains to trick people to buy their products.

I remember a company buy my several of my domains because they were generic so they could not "get me" but they could cause "confusion" about their products and services.

The biggest problem big companies face is when scammers created legit looking websites on domains that look like they are owned by legit companies.

Legit companies would rather buy the domains instead of having them "out there" for any "enterprising" scammer to register and use and embarrass their company when these scammers scam people.

I've already seen some websites using the "3M" trademark but right now I forget the websites.
