What do you guys think. 95% sure its a scammer, hadn't gotten one of these in a long time. Did a search on the supposed company and nothing came up. Hopefully this page gets picked up by google so if anyone else gets a similar email they search and find this thread:

"Hello,

We are interested in wxmj.com

Your name was listed for sale. Please let us know your price.

We are working as contractors in IT industry (database protection and
intrusion protection systems).

So investing in names is just a part of our investment strategy.

Looking forward to do business with you.

Merry Christmas to you and your family!

Regards,
Sean Daley
Vice President
ITR Security"

Oh yah....

Wanna buy an Appraisal?

This is a very common scam where they will then ask you to pay for an appraisal using a link to another forum that suggests a few possible appraisal services (all from the same company)

Yeah, this guy sent me an email as well.

His counter part, Lassen as well. I've had pretty hot email exchanges with these cyber con artists and criminals. I don't know how these criminals could steal other people's money and sleep at night...

They are using same .RU ISP to send these emails.

After two or three emails you will see them offering you appraisals for unknown websites while discrediting the traditional, well known appraisal services and they support their claims using one discussion forum link.

If they are interested in your domain, THEY need to get an appraisal and spend money researching, as THEY are investing in YOUR domain, not other way around.

ah ... I'll save you the trouble - here's the transcript from my recent "negotiations" to sell a domain for $250,000.95 - apparently fell through when he balked at paying in small unmarked bills, though we left it on a friendly note ... (Pretty sure this is the same scam) ->

@filter, that was a great read

Surely you can throw in the website for free considering the price he's gonna pay for it rather than charging him an extra 50 cents :hehe:

Yeah, I had correspondence with "Norris" as well. This guy seems to become a father quite often :)
He disappeared after I told him my terms - buyer needs to order an appraisal.

no percentage in being rude to some Russian mobster's dimwit kid ... ัะดะตะปะฐะนั‚ะต ะ’ั‹ ะฟะพะฝะธะผะฐะตั‚ะต?
Just business, nothing personal. I don't get no pleasure from doing the things I got to do for the domaining money. Small unmarked bills. No funny stuff!
:hehe:
