Lifting PayPal withdrawal limit

Hey everyone. I apologise if this is in the wrong section. I've added all my details required by PayPal for the account set up. I wanted to ask how long does it take for PayPal to communicate with the bank and set up the Direct Debit? Having the direct debit set up I believe will remove the current withdrawal limit. I've been told it is several days, is this true?

Edit: I'm from the UK if that will help.

If I recall correctly, soon as you add a bank account they will debit the account for a tiny amount within 24-48hours and there will be a "code" on the debit transaction reference details, then u simply add that code to ur Paypal verification area and your account should be verified and the limit removed. I would imagine that the 24-48 hour window doesn't count weekends. So I'm assuming it would be business days only.

I've entered the code that you've mentioned @deez007 and PayPal stated that it was successful, I received an email to say "bank funding" was successful and was told it would take a few days, which after I will be able to add funds to my PayPal and subsequently remove the limit. I was curious as to how long it would take. Thanks for your input.
