liberatedomains.com whats that about?

Hi, just realized when I did my monthly "cleaning" of my laptop, that I once must have installed something from the website liberatedomains.com.

Out of curiosity I visited the website and read that it was a program against typosquatting.

SO what do you think about this, will it have any effect on domaining in some way?

I must say that I also am against typosquatting and TM domaining, but I am curious to hear your opinions about this website.

That was just a WHOIS client software designed to connect directly to the registries to check for the availability of any domain you enter, taking the registrar or WHOIS site out of the equation to prevent rogue registrars or sites from stealing your searches (Frontrunning, as some call it). Nothing to do directly with typosquatting or TMs I guess.
