As a domainer this has me interested.......
I can see the logic in making an opening bid for a domain I am interested in and wouldn't mind owning in exchange for a reciprocal offer.
Sounds like a win-win to me and also exposes the domain to other potential buyers.
Len, You are a big name here at NP in .tv land.
Thanks for YOUR interest!
I hope to be able to help each other out real soon.

Anybody that takes action is great for .tv. What might of not worked in the past, might work today, or might work in the future. I have many top .tv and will only develop 10% of them and that has always been the plan. 90% are to resale in the future and I am confident my return on investment will work out well that way.
DiscoverNow,
Thanks for YOUR interest also!
I know you have many .tv's that I would love to add to my collection also.
I like your plan.
I think that is about where I am at also...
10% that I would love to develop,
and the other 90% for resale only.
Of course MY problem is...
I need to gain some $$$ first before development,
since I'm probably going to have to pay someone to help me, as I know nothing about development yet.
So, in saying that...
I am going to go list about 10-20 of my .tv's over at Sedo.
I will bring back the links, here to this thread.
I know all of my .tv's aren't the best,
but I do know I have some great .tv's that would definitely compliment someones .tv portfolio.
Even though the main goal is not just to trade .tv's...
but rather get them to auction, and bring some HUGE
attention to them, then hopefully the right person will come along and bid much higher than the initial bid.
Earlier in this thread LocalExperts brought up an important issue though.
He added about 10 of his own names, and they were all in the $xx,xxx range.
Well, I wouldn't be able to help him out if he had say...
a $1000.00 start bid. At least until I have some of my own $$$ coming in.
So, just for a start, just to get the ball rolling...
I will start with domains that I am willing to start off with a $60.00 bid. Yes I know I have some that are worth $x,xxx, but if I choose to offer them with a $60.00 bid then it would be ME having the faith, that they would fetch a much higher dollar value. If not, then it's my loss.
If it was a domain that I was in love with, then I will not add it to my list of domains that I am offering.
But thats on me, as we all think we have THE BEST OF THE BEST domains...lol
At a later date maybe rthere could be start bid increments of...say...$100.00, $250.00, $500.00, $1000.00, etc.
We can cross that bridge when we get there.
I just want to start, and simple seems best for a start.
There IS something about seeing others domains,
and knowing we would be helping each other out.
I would be very happy to bid on a domain from a member here, knowing that that member would do the same for me. In the meantime, we get a shot that...who knows...
could be much more attractive to someone on the other end of a computer in a far off land, looking for that exact niche, that exact keyword, that exact video centric .tv extension!
I'll be back,
Thanx All!
