Now that 2008 is almost over i think its time to give praise to some of the top .Tv sites we have seen this year.

SO if we can each name 3 of our favourite .tv Websites, lets us all share the great things that have been done worldwide this year with .tv websites.

I'll start it off by mentioning a site i speak about often as it is similar to a development i'm planning:

www.absolutebrighton.tv
I love it as it looks fantstic, very modern & the video features they have are high class plus regularly updated.

I've loved so many .tv's this year that i'll need to take some time to pick my other 2 favourites.

Post what you have enjoyed & share some of the positive lights in .tv land.

Although i'm not a major fan of the Hollywood.tv website, they have all the major celebrity videos that all celeb junkies do want.
And there work in branding/marketing has been brilliant, self promotion at its best.

The way I have seen them marketed is...
Here in the U.S. on the Fox television network,
Fox uses that specific site for alot of their celeb news stories!
That's a pretty big boost for that site, I'm sure!

Without a doubt, uStream.TV is the top sustainable .TV site by a country mile in terms of long term viability, growth potential, and future profitability. IMO.

yeah it is the same in the UK
Every TV channel uses clips with Hollywood.tv logo in the right corner & much of the time the presenter will say "This clip is from Hollywood.tv" or similar

Argos pointed this site out in another thread earlier, and I love it: www.cross.tv . It is a you tube styled site, focussed on a specific niche in a high quality manner. Absolutely demonstrates a legitimate way in which to develop video rich sites.

Feria.tv does look great, really original.

I've had a good think about 2 other sites that really caught my eye over the year with excellent design, concept & execution:

1: The fantastic www.Broadway.tv
Tee site look amazing with the red velvet curtain giving the instant feeling of being in the theatre. They have done great work in creating their place in a crowded market with top notch content & branding (getting all the celebrities to read out the tagline 'You are watching Broadway.tv' is brilliant, using the full title with _____.tv should really stop any possible confusion / leakage.

2: Recently announced site from NP own Heroes: www.RedSari.tv
The intro Video is right out of some major Bollywood Movie, catches the attention instantly & makes it known that this is a top quality site.
Streaming Wedding's over the Internet to friends & family worldwide is a great concept, particularly for Indian Weddings that last much longer & have more visual traditions that will work great online. IMHO

SO those 2 sites & AbsoluteBrighton.tv make up my top 3 .tv's of 2008.
I could of made it my top 5 or top 10 as i've discovered so many excellent .tv sites in the last year that have inspired & entertained me, 2009 has a lot to live up to. :)

Please share the sites you have all enjoyed, we can all learn an awful lot from those that have come before us.

Enjoy,
Ronnie

Hi

I tried making only one call on this since thread got started and still torn.

So I pick 2 companies tied at my end

Healthcare.tv great layout, design and meeks did a great job. Plus in Alexa ranking and traffic!

Broadway.tv nice site and some nice profile people interviewed

Both sites are higher end and ran some cash. Was trying find a smaller scale site with less development expense but couldn't really.

Those 2 got my first place vote.

Maybe development.tv can do an f and q session and post the ups and downs when they are started out, what they have learned and etc before patrick grabs them for another interview session lol. I elect development.tv hires patrick is getting profile .tv co on development and be your go to person for interviews each month like a Justin.tv and the list goes on and on. Sorry patrick, your the best in grabbing profile people and its not like your busy enough lol.

Just an idea.
