If you are posting in this section the .tv subforum. Any post that is not:
.tv related
tv.ext related
video related
industry news
sales
advertisement for a service you provide or a site you developed
Wishing Happy Holiday is the exception.

Will be deleted.

Want to make a shout out PM the person.
Got a question for one person PM them
Got a question for a mod PM them

I have gotten 10 pms with regard to the Millers apology thread, plus MrRhee posting in the thread with remarks like:

"Why is this allowed"
"This is a disgrace"
"Picking on a sick person this forum sucks"
"What is the point"
"I thought this was a domain forum what a f ing joke"

Guess what it is no secret that there are people who do not like one another here. It will not be displayed publically here anymore. Don't like someone pm them, if they broke a rule pm a mod. Last but not least LEAVE if you cannot make everything right"

just to make it clear... I didn't actually post those words :) ... that may be the gist of what EQ received from others... I only wondered why people were trying to pollute such a great .TV Resource that NamePros & the mods have tried to build. I only hope that .TV domainers realize that they need to find ways to collaborate or at least co-exist peacefully so that everyone's investment in .TV benefits. A healthy ecosystem could be formed through alliances (not friendships) that can bring the extension greater awareness & adoption.

Keep in mind: "A rising tide lifts all boats"

But I believe it's time to focus on in-house development in order to ensure a portfolio gets a strong ROI. Perhaps when the dust settles, people will learn to keep personal matters where they belong. I wish everyone good luck.

/with much respect to NamePros and Mods like Equity

Ray,

I am one for being all about business and I do not like any accusations or lying cheating whatever, but part of what I enjoy about this forum is that there are real people behind their forum names.

When Millers was sick, I think it was very heartfelt for us to come to his side and give him encouragement. When it was Smashes B-day, it felt great to see everyone wishing her a happy birthday. I have also made a lot of friends and have done business, well with almost everyone who has been on this board for the last 12 months.

If this forum becomes a place of strict business, then I think it will take away from it being a "forum".

Business is 90% about relationships; part of building these relationships is putting a human being behind the name.

Plus, if Ray... I mean Bob... I mean BullDog ever stops with his posts, where will I get my laughs from?

I said if it is a holiday or a birthday that's fine. I also get pms from people stating they do not appreciate people making jokes in their threads, and they have every right in their thread to request removal. I got two emails from people who are apparently watchers that echoed Mr Rhee sentiment stating the place was unprofessional and they would never join. One was in the US one was in the UK. A lot of the nonsense here is getting old.

A big thanks to EQ for taking this step.

The forum has gotten like the school playground with daily, petty squabbles and certain individuals taking on the role of forum comedian and feeling it necessary to make a witty comment on every thread. Kind of puts me off posting and others too probably. Personalities are now the issue rather than .TV - which is why we're here!

I personally think everyone here is great and I have made many friends here. If we can all focus on the job in hand - AS ONE - we should be able to pool our resources and knowledge more in order that we can sell/understand .tv more effectively.

Anyway....

I suggest we have a 'tabula rasa' - a complete wiping of the slate clean and let's all just get on with selling our beloved DOT TVs!!!!!!

C'mon, let's all be friends eh?

Peace to my Dot TV brothers (and sisters :) ).....

People are more than welcome to compliment or well wish, I am talking personal politics and agendas that are being promoted to undermine someone else.

Good post, EQ, let's focus on selling domains, specifically, mine.

Sidenote: Bulldog, if it's any consolation, I had you pegged for a Nancy, not Bob.

Thank you Ray. Personally, I've found the recent public accusation and insinuation stuff really distasteful. An embarrasment I think.
