If you know a bug in a big companies server wat would u do ?
and your are not planing to give this information for free Wat would u do ?
I don't know where to start; talk to wat kind of lawyers ? how to negotiate the price and how to make it happen ?
if you have any idea plz share thanks.

I would contact them and see what they say.
Dont mention what the bug is or they will fix and you wont recieve any cash or a thank you.

That's a tough one. Nearly anything you do will be construed as blackmail. You would have to word it very carefully. And the company may just do nothing. I have found major flaws in major services, informed the company, and to this day they have not secured the system.

To cover yourself you may want to read up on bug disclosure procedures. This doesn't give you any legal protection, however if you follow these rules and they complain then you will have a lot of security people on your side. These are people no company can afford to alienate because they find bugs for free.

Of course if these people find out that you tried to blackmail the company over a service they do for free then they will drop you like a hot potato.

Basically what you are doing is wrong...just send them an email explaining what you know and maybe they will give you a reward or finders fee ...otherwise step away from the idea

First of all if you find a bug .. whatever you do DONT EXPLOIT IT.

Send them an honest e-mail saying that you accidentally discovered a bug in their system and that they should fix the problem until someone doesn't take advantage of it and brake into their system.

The best advice I can give you is buy a spell checker before sending anything!

Doesn't matter what he will receive for doing this - it's the right thing to do.

After reading this post I was perplexed but luckily you cleared all that up for us with this one:

I would not ask for money but my condition would be that I would be able to publicize the fact that I was able to fix the problem. I would then blog about it and write a nice press release. That alone would have much value to me.

If the company decides to give me a reward well that's up to them. But I certainly wouldn't expect any reward money since most corporations don't spend a penny unless they have to. It's all about bottom line to them.
