On March 21st, 2005, Verisign restricted the Unicode codepoints that were allowed in IDN .com and .net registrations.
The current list of allowed IDN Unicode code points is published by Verisign here.
Here are a few examples of currently registered, single Unicode codepoint .com domains that are no longer allowed by the current rules:
A few questions about these types of domains:
1. Does anyone know what Verisign's allowed Unicode code points were for .com/.net domains prior to March 21, 2005?
2. The above domains were registered after Verisign's allowed code point change in 2005, which would indicate Verisign's allowed Unicode policy has changed over the years. Does anyone have a history of these changes?
3. Does anyone have a complete list of these legacy disallowed IDN .com domains that are still registered?
Cheers!
