Hey guys,

I am building a landing page and i would like to use layers to build it. Unfortunately, I am a little confused as to how I can make all layers to display properly in all browsers (e.g. firefox, IE)? Also layer positioning gets scewed whenever I reset my resoluion higher than 1024. Any ideas on how i can make all these hated layers look the same in all browsers and under any resolution? Any help is appreciated.

My question is: why do you want to use layers?

There are a few places in my graphical layout that require layers. It is the easiest way to position an object without using tables.

I beg to differ, what about positioning divs?

I think this is what you are asking for ??? not too sure

<div id="Layer1" style="position:absolute; width:200px; height:115px; z-index:1">

Yes! Exactly! and when i use absolute positioning, layers shift around the screen if i'm using different browsers and different resolutions. Is there anyway to keep those layers consistently in place under ALL conditions (i.e. different resolutions and different browsers)?

Again we have speculation over tables. Its always the way. If the argments continues we will have yet another CSS Vs. TABLES.

Id say go with DIV Positioning :)
