.mobi Latest 3 .mobi regs and +REP for your ideas

Hello everybody,

I recently registered the following domains:

BENVENUTO.MOBI

I'm not an expert in italian but i think benvenuto means "Welcome" in english. I've seen many developed "benvenutos" at google, some of these are restaurants, limo services, hotels, etc... i think its a great name.

CONSUMABLES.MOBI

Mostly related to computer and printer consumables, can't find a better use for it. Very commercial keyword and fits the extension good.

SMARTCHIP.MOBI

We are very familiar with the term "SmartPhone", i think the term smartchip will be common in a future. It's already used in many websites at google.

What are you thoughts on these names?

Development ideas, appraisals and related comments will be rewarded with +REP.

CONSUMABLES.MOBI I like the best, but thast just my thoughts. Maybe make it a type of blog/newsite about recycling. For example. For my day job, we just did an article about CFL lighting and how much energy it saves, and a rumor has it.. that, "it will be manditory to use them in some countries in the future."

SO... maybe make a blog/news site about wasted materials/energy/consumables that the world does everyday and focuses on wasted energy. It could be big in the future.

It could be used for any type of product site not only printers.

SMARTCHIP.MOBI is a good one to brand and develop.

SMARTCHIP.MOBI - I like this one the best, can see a lot of potential for it. When doing a Google search, smartchip.com & smartchiponline.com seems like 2 companies that could be good for this name, not sure if there's any TM issues though.

BENVENUTO.MOBI - Don't speak Italian so I can't really comment on this one. Not to sure how you'd go about developing this one.

CONSUMABLES.MOBI - Could develop a site on consumable goods, etc.

Looks like cosumables is the favorite, followed by SmartChip.

I think they are both very brandable names, they key to their success will depend on how i develop the site.

htmlindex gave me a good idea to work with smatchip and check for TM.

I gotta go with smartchip...I picture a blog critiqing new techo stuff...maybe just mobile stuff...then having banner ads for phones, pda, etc...the other 2 names I really dont like...I dont think consumables sounds "fun" or memerable...imho

Around reg for for consumables the other don't sound worthwile. I'm not sure about the blog suggestions, do you have an active interest in this area and are you willing to spent time every week blogging on the subject? if not it sounds like a waste of time.

I like smartchip.mobi, but then a TM search showed that you will need to be careful of how you use it as there are 7 live TM's using the term.

Not sure why everyone likes consumables.

Yes it is something that describes a very large puchasing market. But does anyone really use the word, other than when the U.S. government does a quarter report and states that consumables are up or down. No, when I buy a consumable product I look for it under its own term, such as toilet paper, bread, milk, wood, gas, oil.

Not a easy name to type (how do I spell that?) is another factor. Although it may have a market developed, if a specific consumable product was the .mobi I think the outcome would be better.

Smartchip has a nice ring to it. But tm problems?

I dont know guys, i was thinking in a ecommerce website for consumables. SmartChip had a good sound and is relevant to phones, i will not use it in bad faith, we'll see what happens with the TM owners.

circa1850: We are the only ones who like Benvenuto, it's such a good name IMO. Google shows hotels, restaurants, limo services, etc.. i think this is the best candidate for a blog, showing the beauties of italy.

Wonderful name for a fashion or mobile cultural / travel magazine, Italian language translation on a mobile, tourism listing towns with places to eat / stay / visit and suitable paid ads, Italian cookery site or pretty much anything Italian.

CONSUMABLES.MOBI

Possibly a site dedicated to the best places to buy consumables, rather like a shoppers guide to the latest / cheapest items for sale. An educational / investors site relating to an oil, gas & consumable fuels, mining and metals being consumed and who is the top 100 producer for example. A site relating to DIY and resupply of goods for a particular supplier or even as autopart listings and supplier contacts.

SMARTCHIP.MOBI

This would make an excellent information / commerce site explaining the functionality behind swiping the mobile phone across a reader to purchase an item or to gain entry. It could be used for barcode ticket entry into concerts, A small character called 'Chip' created as a branded site which opens the door to any potential choice, information regarding bluetooth beaming of information from storefronts / posters to pedestrians mobile phones, gprs site that can locate your children's wherabouts by triangulating their mobile phone so you can keep tabs on where they are at all times.
