what type of games do you want to program? if you want one of those online java ones then learn java/c.

Haha, joking aside...

If you want to make online flash games, you should learn flash and actionscript.

if that flash game somehow involves web databases (like it's an mmorpg or something) you'll have to learn how to integrate PHP and mysql into it.

if you want to make a standalone PC game (like a .exe), look into something like C++.

C++, Python, and a good intuitive knowledge of Blender should get you going.

C++ for the big time 3D games. Learning C# and XNA might be a good stepping stone though and you can make some neat 3d games with it for PC and xbox 360.

c++ is the backbone of most code in many games.
java is another good idea.

Depends on what kind of games you wanna develop.

Could be C++ or Java or PHP or Flash based on the choice of the game you are trying to develop.
