All the ccTLDs that are not for a big country, except .TV and perhaps .CC, are not getting much attention now. Many keywords are still available for reg fee, and two letter names are still available in some of the extensions (including .LA).
I agree with the above post that .LA is one of the more popular, because it has obvious meaning. I have several two letter .LA and I am surprised that there is not more interest in them. Affilias is the registry for .LA, They do .INFO and another biggie (.ORG??). If they ever got behind promoting the extension, such as some kind of agreement with Los Angeles city or county (or Disneyland, or Hollywood .....) it could move very quickly.
.TV seems to have found new life with a new contract, perhaps that will happen with .LA. BTW, .LA is really Laos, not some tiny island like .TV, .WS, .CC and so on.
