thanks for the list :)

yep, thanks for list Johnny.

i nailed 6, that'll do me.

I'm huge fan of L-L-L.com as you know

L-LL.com works for me only for I- & E- prefix

I think out of two, LL-L looks and works better in company format as last letter usually means organisation, limited, company etc, & would make more sense to be separated out of 2 options.
Obviously L-L-L.com is the balanced more memorable, more favourable option.

I nailed:

e-vf.com e venture funding
i-vf.com i venture funding or ivf treatment
i-rw.com internet realty web
i-vl.com internet ventures limited
i-vh.com internet venture holdings
e-vl.com e ventures limited

etc

gonna develop one of these i think

Grabbed 2 more

I-QC .COM QC is a top lawyer in Canada.
I-VJ .COM video jockey

Acquired i-wa .com this month and have been seeing some good traffic from it as well. I am thinking of throwing up a mini Washington site on that bad boy.

Also I did a search at godady and this is what I got:

AvailableI-VP.com is available as a Premium Domain Name!
This Premium Domain Name can be purchased for $3,005.00.

interesting...

I screwed up really bad yesterday. I realized a nice group of L-LL were dropping and was waiting for their final day of live auction to bid as I didnt want to draw attention to any. In my haste I bid on all of them with 1 day to go and I think 3 of them ended up on the snapnames email telling everyone about them. Before that I was getting them all at $9.

Today some sold for some decent money. I was out or I would have bid a couple up all of these.

g-ay $60.00
b-ar $16
g-un $17
o-wn $ 22
a-nn $11
g-um 10
k-ey 10
l-eg 10
r-um 10

These have been the best out of the L-LL's dropping in a while. Kicking myself that I missed the ending. ANyone from here grab any of these?

b-ob also must have been grabbed for $60 as it was not avail for live auction.

Also ID, this L-ll and LL-L is very speculative and I dont think right now a lot of people are looking for these to drop (for the good or bad). BUT all premium ones are gone for the most part and for almost reg fee i think these were good pick ups. Only time will tell...

yes I can understand but don`t you think there is going to be a time when enought is enought? You guys seem jumping from a niche to another just creating sub-markets continuosly.....in this way , I think you are going to:

1) hurt the chances to get 1 of these niches really established and worthy (like printing more USD.....the more they print without giving back GOLD , the more the USD drops in value, too many niches.....less valuable each one becomes)

2) newbies will go broken in new regs chasing the dreams

3) registrars will love you

The chances of getting an end user with L-L-L.com are decent yes but now if you start also with L-LL and LL-L , really I wonder how long before:

L-L-L-L.com
LL-LL.com
L-L-L-L-L.com
LLL-LL.com
LL-LLL.com

and so on....

all the above are 5 character or above names the first being 7, the second 5, the third 9, the fourth 6, and the last one 6.
L-LL and LL-L are 4 character names and so are a genuine variant of LLLL.
During the last year the same argument was used against LLLL that all the good ones were gone to argue against purchasing any more. It is not so...

Like if I don`t know those arguments :)

The new golden rule of golden-opportunity:

Finding true gold requires seeing an opportunity in the rough that makes logical and practical sense in the real world.

Good examples were:

X-X.COM
X-X-X.COM
X-XX.COM
XX-X.COM (not so much)

Bad examples are:

X-X-X.some other tld
X-X-X-X...com

Once there are threads like this, the "gold-rush" has already passed and the ones to make the money are the ones that invested earlier.

Personally, I already have made good ROI on "-" names and will hold several long term. Those that invested early and got good names, their value will continue to increase with time. Regging poor "-" names now is a waste of time and $. Instead, go with your instinct and move on to the next logical thing. I have.

Good post , rep added.
i agree in all except over X-XX, i would take XX-X
reasoning behind is most companies have the last letter as a suffix if you like, ... organization, limited etc, feels more natural for the last letter to be 'dashed' or 'hyphenated'

i fee L-LL works only for 'i' & 'e' 'prefixes' if you will. just my personal opinions.

of course L-L-L.com is the top one as as we have discovered, 25% are developed, quite impressive to say approx 8k out of 17k or more are in domainers hands & SOLD out
They also look the most balanced & are more brandable imo. The sales reflect this too

rep added, thanks for the post!

Thats what its all about, thinking outside the domain "box". Grabbing the premium ones before anyone is even talking about it. I was regging e-hd etc over a year ago. Not because I thought this was the next wave but because I really liked the look of it.

Someone correct me here, there was an interesting news article that was posted last month sometime stating either domains or people on the internet will grow next year by up to 40% (tired to try and find the article)- this 3 hours a night of sleep sucks :)! With growth like that (either way) L-LL/LL-L premium/brandable domains definitely have a chance and yes they are speculative for now.

How can you go wrong with a .com 4 character that is brandable, especially when (not knocking either) a $15-20 min price for qzxu is being accepted as a base if not now, soon.

Not to beat the dog but I believe these can be way more brandable than a CCC.com (sold all 15 of mine 6 months ago) although I realize most of the value of those is in the scarcity.

Either way if you like them or not someone has been/is buying them all up quietly. Again time will tell.

regards, Gary.

l-l-l are a better investment now. However, in the near future, I believe all that may change. With domain registrations currently growing at 20-30 percent a year, all 4 characters will be the next to go. When that happens l-ll may become more valuable than the 5 character l-l-l simply because it only has 4 characters.
