Here is a little information regarding L-LL and LL-L.com domains.
There are some other threads, but I had some unique views on this.
  1. There is less than a third of each one of these domains still available to register.
  2. L-LL and LL-L searches each return more Google results than LLL and L-L-L searches (try it)
  3. Having the hyphen does not negatively affect search rankings
  4. Premiums and words of these can be purchased on the aftermarket for $10-50
  5. In terms of functionality, these shouldn’t be that much less desirable than an LLLL.com

Because of those reasons, these things are selling fast.
The only problem for the buyout is that there is really no need or desire for Q-XV.com or XV-Q.com; however, because of the scarcity of them dropping, these are bound to get regged up soon.
Let's get these things sold out!

Make sure that you keep in mind that there are two domains for every acronym you want.
You may own A-BC.com, but there is also AB-C.com. To attract full end-user potential, one should register both the L-LL and the LL-L.

And one more quickie.
Look at where you put the hyphen.
For OOP (object oriented programming)
OO-P.com makes much much more sense than O-OP.com
Find linking words and don't break them with the hyphen!

These are the closest to the LLL.com and should be priced accordingly

Heh, we all wish, but I will be the first to admit that the hyphen can break good acronyms and end-users may not love the hyphen as much

I believe in these. They are not big yet as they're supposed to be... I think that by the end of the year things will definitely change.

Reminded me I have P-OO :)

The first one I purchased was-

T-IT. 20-Feb-2007

It made a word ( :p ) but also had IT which is huge I thought as well. Then I started grabbing ones that started with E/I as my thinking was that these were the closest to 2 letters as you could get. My first E one's were:

E-HD March 07
E-IM May 07
E-MR May 07

I was outbid on E-MS to go with my MR by an end user and that told me what I already knew- that these are brandable and wanted by endusers!

e-ms.com $451.00 07-Sep-2007

I started talking about these in different threads but no one was really paying much attention (I concluded this because no one was competing against me with premium ones in auction) which is good because it let me reg at will for a year or so.

I am glad these are finally getting the attention they deserve IMO.

repped OP,

gary-

I think these domains are a great investment and there are plenty of great letters available at the moment.
