I have received a request to sell my domain. No offer was provided, and I have no idea how much it would be worth. I'm not sure I want to sell it, but curious about its realistic value. Any ideas?

koodos.com

Thanks!

I'm new at this. But I would think this has enough potential that a professional appraisal is in order. But as a neophyte, my guess would be that this is in the mid to high $xx,xxx range since it is a brandable version of a common (and positive) word. Perhaps some of the pros will weigh in.

All that said, make that this offer isn't one of those appraisal scams. You might want to google some of the text from the offer mail to see if anything turns up.

Thanks cassius. I'm probably going to get a professional appraisal on this one. But, wanted to get some "honest opinions" before I start investing any money/time into it.

Any other opionions would be VERY much appreciated.

I'm sorry, but you can make up spellings on a lot of words. mid to high xx,xxx? that is WAY stretching it. Im thinking low-mid xxx max. Good luck. I think a pro appraisal is optional on this one

Although it's a misspelled word, it's still very brandable and easy to remember. Mid-high $xx.

I'm not sure where you pulled that large number from, cassius...

Fair enough. Like I said, I'm new at this. But I think this is a great name and could be very strong for an end user. For example, I think it would e a great name for a gift shop of some sort.

I agree that it's a nice name, but a domain that sells for that much is a short .com one-word domain. :)

Hi - I think it sounds really nice and also looks great :) It does'nt appear to be a dictionary word but I think it is a "very brandable" domain non the less.

As "brandable names" also require alot of advertising/promotion to get them known the price will really be determined on how bad an enduser wants it.

I would not suggest a price to them - tell them you're not really fussed about selling it and to make their best "convincing" offer before you'll consider it further - then work your way up if it looks tempting !!! :)

I love it - I would give it a 9/10 for a decent potentially brandable name, sounds just as good as google - yahoo - opodo - lycos and more to me.

:) Sorry - not really an appraisal but xxx sounds way too low to me - just my opinion.

.

Brandable, looks and sounds nice.

End user: Mid to high xxx
Reseller: Low to mid xx

Good luck!
