I know that in reality its anyone's guess but still would be interesting to see if:

Who feels reasonably confident that reg fee names during goldrush will not be taken away.
Who feels totally confident that reg fee names during goldrush will not be taken away.
Who feels its just a matter of time before you hear the knock on the door

Reasonably.

Reasons:
- they were registered 24 hours ago or so (no any mails as for now)
- my info is in whois for all names
- recently Sedo verified them and they are in my account now (even got some traffic :)

I am not celebrating til I see something in writing clarifying the issue,
either from the Registrar I regged at, or from Enom/Verisign.

MrRhee started a thread "Landrush-Goldrush", and he said he was gonna get to the bottom of this.
So, I guess I would trust his word too.
Til then, I'll keep checking my email, the .tv Forum, .tv Blogs, and keep my fingers crossed.

I know DS - I thought it would also be a good idea to have a thread dedicated to just this one issue

Yeah, great thread.
I'm with Mellow though...
I never count my money til it's in the Bank.

Equity always seems to get to the bottom of things too,
so If you keep up w/his Posts, and Blog we should see the actual end scenrio
without any room for interpretation.

I'm not showing any of my reg's til then!:p

Good question James

Here is what I think happened.

The Goldrush names I think you got because I think these names were no longer classified "PREMIUM" we may have known these names in the past as a premium.

LANDRUSH names they got right and Enom.tv and Dynadot had the premium pricing for premium .tv.

NAME.com SCREWED EVERYTHING UP, they are the ones with the glitch.

I think Goldrush names are good because they were declassified as premium .tv. We just did not know that they were non premium .tv. Again IMO

I am confident based on registrar feedback that GOLDRUSH names are ours.
I will believe it after 30 days. Primarily because I can not believe what was regged for standard upfront pricing.

I am confident that LANDRUSH names regged for non-premium upfronts will be taken back if you do not pay difference.
imho, VRSN should honor it, and move on so it does not tarnish the new TLD launch.

but BUZZ is BUZZ.

good luck to all.

Buzz, though, always seems to come at a price ... and there are some folks here who will be on the short end of the stick once all of the dust settles; this is NOT the way to treat people, IMHO.

From way earlier in the week before the stuff hit the fan;
Please hang tight, and remember this is an April 1st (but not necessarily April Fool's) thread ... some things may not be as they first appear (and most all here have personally witnessed disappointing events surrounding the ".TV" extension ... over the past 10 YEARS), IMHO. :gl:

Same old, same old! :imho:
Regards,
Jeff B-)

Joel do you agree its Name.com that screwed this up and they cannot honor because they were charged a premium fee.

I think even Dynadot had issue with the LandRush names. Jut few minutes ago I got a message that 3 of the names registered during LandRush has been deleted from my account due to premium pricing difference.

So bottomline: Even if you have registered your names at Dynadot there is no assurance that it will not be deleted from your account.

Dynadot had same problem, at least for some domains. I checked couple of domains I was interested in on dynadot 7 or 8 hours ago and they were standard reg fee. I checked them again now and they have premium prices.

EDIT -- Ok, just got this email from dynadot: Unfortunately, we have deleted the domain xxx.tv from your account.

Guys,if its possible - can we keep this thread just for GOLDRUSH name regges, otherwise it will be pretty difficult to track whats what and some of the threads may aswell merge.

Hope you can understand

Goldrush .tv names - reasonably confident

Like MrRhee, after 30 days I'll be totally confident. As far as I can tell so far nobody has lost ownership of a goldrush name yet. Is this correct? I have mine, nothing has changed for 24 hours with my .tvs, no new notifications from dynadot.

All mine are still good - all pointing towards parked pages

I think James Goldrush names were names that were taken off the premium list so that is great news for those who got them. Funny thing I did not look for a name all day, really did not want anymore .tv but got a few in the landrush.

I think we will see that Goldrush=names that were declassified as premium .tv. Best of luck.

Equity,

there are a number of players who have just got an absolutely stunning portfolio - 100++ names. If this remains the case, that they remain declassified, then they are sitting on a goldmine IMO.

I regged about 13 - I only stopped because my CC stopped me from paying anymore due to "so many" purchases in such a short time.

I agree 100 % some guys hit a home run. Now we have to work to get a more robust aftermarket.
