Hi there

I was just wondering when you put the keywords into your web site should you put a space after each one.

Example:

scotland, Book Scotland Direct, England

Or should it be.

scotland,Book Scotland Direct,England

If you could let me know

Cheers

Justin

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

I have always used the first method with a space.

I always try to list them from most important to least also.

the comma is the only seperation you need

spaces can mess up databases

look up csv in programming books

csv files don't work with spaces

some search engines can be using csv type programming to pull your keywords so the spaces could keep some engines from indexing you

I will assume we are talking about meta keywords and a space is normal practice.

Dont worry about it to much - you wont get any meaningful search engine positions with meta keywords. Its the "whole" seo process that makes your site in good positions.
