Keyword for my domain name

Hello Im looking for a keyword for my website I see that the mynamename.com is available as well as the my-name-name.com is available too. You think I should register both name and do you think it will increase traffic to the site? Oh I forgot to mention im just using the name to redirect to my website I already have a name for the site.

It seems like a complete waste of time and money to me. How would it increase traffic since I presume typein traffic would be zero?

well if you make some seo, start a campaign and make all three names on the first page of a search engine, then that will help you to increase traffic to your website. but without such a purpose it won't have any effect on your traffic.
