by how much does a hash devalue a name
If other wise it would be a serious premium name worth thousands
eg freemoney.com to free-money.com
By how much would the hash devalue the name

and does it make a difference with SEO

Thanks

Hyphenated Domains

Hyphenated domains are still selling in todays marketplace. In general, adding a hyphen may devalue your domain about 25-30% of its appraised value. But, this may vary from buyer to buyer. Some buyers are not biased against the hyphen, while others frown about the matter.

I would say that if its a good keyword phrase, register it!

PS: Hyphenated keyword phrases makes no difference with SEO as Google will award the same keyword values if you optimize for the standard phraseology with your title, meta, and Alta tags. (e.g. Free Money, )

The correct term here is hyphen. [post edited]

Good keyword domains with 1 well placed hyphen are still worth a lot of money.
Examples would be domains like Credit-Cards.com / Stock-Market.com / Home-Loans.com

When you start getting into more than one hyphen, or domains that are not an exact keyword match they lose a lot, if not all value.

As far as hyphens go, if you deal with end users they have far less bias against them than domainers do.
