The guy who was getting all the media attention for "KerryEdwards.com" has put it onto Sedo (instead of ebay, good for him).

A part-time bail bondsman named Kerry Edwards who registered a personal domain two years ago is now sitting on a gold mine thanks to the Democrats' recently announced US presidential ticket.

An online auction for his kerryedwards.com domain opened at $US150,000 ($A205,000) yesterday, according to the German firm handling the sale.

well doesn't it show the value of the domain.... i mean he is going trough sedo.com to sell it. i don't think that you would need to go trough sedo to sell

"jfk.com.....cool.com...new.com" just thosing you some rendom domains.

My guess is that the high asking price and the exposure the name has received, will spell doom for the sale of this name. I think that picking up this name for 150K would be bad for the Kerry/Edwards public image, causing more damage than what the site could possibly gain them. 10K, maybe, but the guy has gotten too greedy, IMHO.

I agree with "Grrilla" -

Bad move seeing "Kerry" already owns and advertises his own domain on every TV commercial out there at moment ~

150,000 $ ??? - Buys some decent airtime on the networks ~

There seems to be an opening $150K bid already. Time will tell if the bid is legit ...

I agree that it wouldn't do good for Kerry to purchase this name, as many people could see it as a waste of campaign $.

Wow, how do you like that? The guy didn't even buy the name to get rich originally and now he figures to make some money! :)

Every day that goes by, that domain is worth less. If he really got a $150k offer before it went onto Sedo and is just holding out for more, he made a big mistake IMHO.

I think people type in JohnKerry alot more naturally than KerryEdwards.

Though with Google's new keyword policy, kerryedwards might work better.

I'll say this much though, at least people will know the name of the vice president this time. Before the scandals, how many Americans do you think knew the name of our vice president currently? A few months ago I had to go lookup his photo just to remember what he looked like! They kept him buried from the press and for good reason.

It's not bushcheney.com Presidential campaigns have never been equally billed. This domain lack promenient purpose. Doesn't get much traffic either.

These bids are not real.

I would take the highest bidder at the end of the day because soon it will be worthless and like many domains timing is everything.
