The domain is at GoDaddy, has a couple months left on it. Site uses a couple of gigs a month in bandwidth, you can see the exact numbers in the stats. The design is custom, its divided up using php includes so the pages are easy to update and I use htaccess to parse html as php files, so having a *nix host is useful.

Auction ends Midnight EST on the 22nd, I reserve the right not to sell either site if I am unhappy with the final bids, ie I have a reserve price in mind. Though they are being sold separately if someone takes the BIN on both I can reduce it from $950 to $800.

Is it easy enough to add new images to the galleries?

There is no automated way to add images, but they are organized and named in such a way that its not terribly difficult to add them. Adding a new page of images generally takes me 5-10 minutes and thats for cropping, renaming and then adding the html. Most of that is batched though using ACDSee, a great program for image manipulation.

I think we see a lot of auctions that languish because the opening bid is not the reserve and a reserve is never mentioned. I'm not trying to give you a hard time. I just feel that we generally see more activity if we know the range that the seller is looking for. Someone might not bid because it ties up their funds with an obligation that may or may not pan out even if they are the high bidder.

I'll offer you $50 for the Keira site.

The reserve, as in all auctions is not known to the bidders until it has been met. This is the setup of nearly all auctions and certaintly people have not had a problem with it while using ebay or similar auction sites. But I think you can get a good idea of the kind of reserve there is for an item by looking at the BIN price, on average you will see the reserve be 60-80% of the BIN from my experience.

It's all moot now anyway. You set a low opening bid with hopes of generating activity which on some level makes sense. On the other hand I'll bet that had you started the bidding at $200 each (of course I'm guessing because only you know your reserve) you may have had fewer offers but these sites might be sold right now. I might have bid at that starting point but now I, along with others, are onto other auctions because nobody had any idea if their bid meant anything. I received several emails from members looking at this auction who felt the same way so it's not just me being a little crazy. Best of luck to you.

Ya it may not have worked out exactly as I had hoped but I find it suprising that people aren't interested in bidding unless they know the reserve, I was unaware that people had that concern.
