Hi all,
Although I have been lurking around here for a while and still not having enough knowledge, I tend to ask some questions that may have obvious answers, of course they are difficult for me.

So, having said the above by admitting to my lack of knowledge, what do you people normally use (i.e., software, excel spreadsheet, program, etc..) to keep track of your domain/registrar/profit/loss/expired domains, etc.. accounting records? Is there a basic spreadsheet or software? Is there any that someone can share with me? (of course removing your personal information & other stuff that you feel you do not want to share).

Thanks in advance :)

Excel has a decent balance template. You can record date and description for the domain, registrar, where purchased, + or - $ amount.

Yes I agree. I use Google Spreedsheets instead. When I make a purchase or sell something I would just go to Google Docs and update the spreadsheet there

A spreadsheet would definately do the job. Also Vatsan mentioned using Google spreadsheets as well. That is a great idea if you want to edit your spreadsheet on the internet from any location. All you would need to modify the speadsheet is an internet connection. :)
