Hello everyone

I purchased this domain name and now it is in 45 days auction lock. So I thought to myself, that in the mean time I could get this appraised.

So what do you think would be price that I could get for it? What marketplace you would suggest as best fit for LLLL.coms?

Thanks a lot

The "V" and "i" makes it less desireable in the Chinese market

Have you considered that there are other than Chinese buyers to 4letters? - The last I sold was purchased by one from Australia

J, Y and V are non premium letters but I is a premium letter. Further, wen 'Y' is in the second place, it takes the role of consonant. So, this domain is CCCV.com. The letter 'I' at the end gives a strond ending to the domain name. Past sales of the domain also matters. However, these jargon are used strictly on reseller environment. In current scenario its price be around high $xx to low $xxx. if sold in reseller market.
I would suggest you find out end user.
Once Rick Scwartz rightly said value of domain fluctuates from person to person. To us it may be wort $100 or so but for others it could be a $xxxx material.
All the best.

Sorry to disagree with you but Y is a vowel in many languages, this LLLL is fully pronounceable and brandable;
it also passes the radio test as it can be guessed at the second or third attempt.

Surely every person has a different feeling about a domain name but previous sales ( especially very recent ones ) are a good compass to understand how the market is going. The market has been going up for months and proof is that 3/4 of the threads in the wtb section are for lllls.

In this case the fact that there are less premium letters in the domain doesn't really count as much as in the acronyms because of the type of domain ( see sales like wuxo, zylo, qiro etc ). And for all those who keep saying that the value is xx to low xxx, I ask you please to send me your list of lllls ( like this one ) and I will be happy to take that heavy load from your shoulders for a fair reseller price of 50$

You are mistaken. I suppose then "byte" is a CCCV? Of course it isn't. Jyvi is a CVCV.

Y is not always a vowel; sometimes. http://pronuncian.com/podcast/Default.aspx?Episode=145&Language=

And just because it's a CVCV doesn't mean it's automatically a 4 figure domain.

If you want recent sales numbers, look on namebio, all day long. And you should understand how the Chinese market affects 4 letter .coms. Vowels are not considered premium letters in the Chinese market.

I will have to assume you have never made a good deal then!
All of us live on " buying something for a price and selling it for a much higher one "....that's the base of every trade no matter what industry you talk about.

All my profits have been made by carefully picking domains for cheap and sell them for more... Frankly it makes me wonder how you do your " domaining "

What's your point? Read your link, the Y in "myth" is a VOWEL.

I'm well aware of the rest.

Obviously you buy low and try to sell high. But, what we're talking about is this specific domain. This is not a 4 figure domain imo.

You don't know what I do for a living so don't worry about that. I do this as a side gig, so all your nonsense talk don't bother me. And, show some respect to your elders. You joined this forum in 2013 and you think you're some hot shot!? Give me a break!

For a prime example of a crap LLLL with crap non-premium letters that would never pass the radio test and no one in their right mind (with any business sense) would ever touch, check out www.unyq.com

Damn, I know you guys have skin in the game and are trying to promote the growth of 4 letter .coms, but come on...

As you are turning this post into a personal attack I think I would stop replying to your comments.
You have your opinion. Good.
Just one last thing would you mind explaining to me how the date someone joined the forum makes that someone more or less of a professional? Because I think I am not getting it.
Good luck with your hobby.

It's not automatically a 4 figure domain, I agree. Still not a bad investment at ~$100 IMO.

It's not about professionalism. It's about experience. And thanks for the good luck.

Great use of an LLLL..I imagine they saw the name as a play on the word unique ( ? )

Yeah, I'm done here. Besides, my time would be better spent registering premium .TOP domains. They're going fast!

You have a point. But look, the point of this forum is appraisals. I gave my appraisal on this domain, and these two guys barge in and accuse me of giving a "nonsense" appraisal. So yeah I'm gonna take offense to that. If they would have just gave their own opinions and shut their mouth about me, then I wouldn't be so defensive right now.

Yes, and that's what I thought when I hand registered it back in 2000!
