Why in the contest forum, there is so much lowballing offers? I mean c'mon look at it, developers our there now out there charge more what they do than here. For instance....

Logo contest and banner contests both fun at $10 a pop. $10? I can see for banners [static] but for logos, c'mon thats unreal. I do admit you do have people who do equal the job but when it comes to revisions [which takes time] then it'll get out of hand with constant changes and the time and effort of you doing the changes and not winning certainly is not worth TEN DOLLARS! lol

Now with that said, I'm not mad, Im just asking because I would like to know really. I'm not looking for arguments but some nice feedback and possibly a change in this if possible. I see talented designers here and to design a nice templates, logos, etc. thats worth $100-$200 for $10-$100 thats a bit strange. I just want to know why there is so low of a prize for these type of contest.

Also, I didnt mean to put it here but I figured it would be better in getting more views than the contest forum. Apologies if i caused a ruckus.

Thank you for your time.

Regards,

R. Solutions.

Well a lot of people that do those low job offers on this site, do them to build up their portfolio. The more they do the more they can charge in the future. As well if the person really likes the work you do, they will first contact you for another project, then you get to charge your own prices.

I remember a long time ago doing a few low $/NP design contests, winning those then doing more projects for the same people for 10x the amount of the original contest. Its all about building contacts, and building up your portfolio.

Thats my opinion at least.

That I understand fully, which I have no problem with. And about the budget, I understand that clearly, but still though....i dunno. I just feel like your time is worth more than $10 unless you can do it fast with quality lol. :)

Some people may not be able to fit $200 into their budget. I think if you dont agree with the amount the contest is giving then dont enter it.

:imho:

Okay, with what you said, sigh.....no comment, i know what mean, hence the expression, "If you cant handle the heat, stay out the kitchen" as i would say. I understand what you mean, but I'm just saying for people out there on the market who has been out there for a while. [not me]
