I was just wondering if any domainer fell in love with his own domain/domains and turned it to a developed site fullfiling the purpose of the said domain.
Not sure if this has been discussed earlier on NP.
Thanks to ones who are willing to share any such experience.

Everyone of course fall in love with a domain

But only takes time until you buy a new better domain then divorce the first one and so on

Until you have spent the maximum you can , you stay with this girl for long and divorce comes only if one big rich tycoon fall in love with her. or you die which means you are getting out of domain business

But do not fall in love with crappy prostitutes !! those xxqz...etc :D :D

I did, with Kohsamui.org. It happened to generate me and my family’s main income from 2004-2015. I still own this domain, but I’m not updating it at the moment.

I am a big fan of positive psychology and the value of a happy lifestyle. Especially later in life, I think we sometimes ignore the fun of everyday simple things. Fortunately I have two wonderful grandchildren who remind me when I forget how fantastically fun life can be. Children remind us all how important it is to be kind, and they are much better than adults at not keeping grudges.

Anyway this is a long lead in to the domain that I come closest to being in love with, but not enough that I wouold not sell it lol! The name is rediscover.fun. To me it is a nice summary of all the positive things of recapturing the wonderful part of childhood later in life.

Thanks for an interesting question. I hope more will reply. And have a happy day and rediscover simple fun everyone!

    Bob

I have lot of names and like to invest in many extensions, but if I should choose, somehow I really personally like my .life names...not sure why that is so, maybe because I like life :)

Anyway, I fell in love with my domain names like enjoying.life, kind.life or holy.life....and recently, I got domain name act.best, and I fell in love with this domain name as well.

Well, that is life...you fall in love with your domains...

Couldn't agree more Bob.Muhammad Ali has rightly said 'Children make you want to start life over'.
I would not have thought of rediscover/fun in a positive way if you wouldn't have told the thoughts behind registering it.

More than I care to admit, lol.

What's even worse, is falling in love with a name before it's even yours. And then, you get beat in the auction. Crushing.

I do not believe this for an instant, from you. :)

if I buy them, I love them, I may fall out of love with some, but as a majority, I love them and don't care if they sell or not these days, they are mine, I buy some names simply for collection because they are limited and ect.

I have been renewing 212 LLLL.coms since 2008. And I will keep renewing them, the same with my NNL.com-LLN.com-LNL.coms - I like to collect them, I will sell them, If the price makes me happy, that is the only way. otherwise, they will remain with me, if I croak, my son is set to get a certain amount, my wife gets the rest of my complete portfolio.

Yep, I registered TypingMadness.com a few months ago and really liked this name so I developed a website under it.

I am a web developer and had some free time so I thought why not.

My parents spent their entire life and their savings for kids education. Now a days education requires huge money. I m 38 years now. I have a dream to bring quality education or training accessible to everyone in this world.

I have acquired necessary digital assets in training industry. I'm in the process of building social network in training industry with a social touch. This is my bit of giving back to society.

I m not just loving the digital asset, I m living my dream!

    Cheers
