I have built a little site to sell my domains at AirDN.com.

My idea is to make it fast and simple.

I'm using WordPress with a couple of free plugins I've tweaked. :) As you'll see, no big bells and whistles, just fast, safe, secure, and with all the necessary components (ie help, tos, payment gateway, etc.).

Do you think people would buy a domain on site with a super simple design? Or do sliders, etc, make a difference?

I still have static pages to write, some minor customization, and finish the payment gateway but I would love some feedback. Too simplistic?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
.US domains.US domains
I recently started something like this, with over 50k existing backlinks from the forwarded domains to their lander not sure where it ranks in the SERP’ but only spam inquiries so far. I need a year to decide personally on mine.

Nice job. I always like simple, the web is so full of β€œme-to” themes and cliche its nice to see different designs. So many websites lately are full of cliche stock photos, no originality. Also these cliche porthole round people photos are boring on so many websites. Glad you dont have those. Maybe you could ad a nice logo on navigation bars top and bottom and a few graphic details, but I like lists with sortable columns like that. You might reduce cell height even more to cram more domains into one page. The cart page worked fine, assume you had an api that communicates with escrow dot com per the logo on the same page. Assume you are forwarding nameservers in the future to another page. Buzz section I would edit to something else and not educate end users to read domain industry articles though. As you are aware You will need to get backlinks and write original articles if you want it to rank and be seen.

Hi, I like the nice clean look of the listing page. No clutter easy to read all that good stuff

The only thing I would say , if I just came upon it and didn’t know it was legit. It would make me wonder as it not real clear who the owner or seller is.

I would just call out who you are and why it safe to shop your site and why they don’t want to go with whoever they just find on the top of google.

But it is a nice site, easy nav, and clean - clutter and spammy ads around domain listings, seem to bring out the concerns of buyers. And the old domain investor stereo types are all they envision.

Thanks for letting us take a look, appreciate the share much.

Clean and streamlined, no excess verbiage and, no obnoxious " in my face pop-ups" are a nice start to your new venture.

This approach is fine for me with 20 years of experience with domain names.

Just a thought:

Would, should, the home page have a bit more design or visual engagement to appeal to the casual or novice visitor?

Another thought:

IMO, would re-order the five questions posed on the homepage - my proposed re-ordering noted as follows with an excerpt from the home page:

1. Why Do I Need A Domain Name?
3. How Do I Buy A Domain On AirDN?
4. Is AirDN Safe And Secure?
2. How Do I Use My Domain Name?
5. The Domain I Want Is Not Listed

Two more:

I would re-word " Is AirDN Safe and Secure" to a more positive, authoritative phrase such as
" AirDN is Safe and Secure " or similar, then state why AirDN is safe and secure.

&

Would encourage you to " not be modest" when you do your " About " section as my impression is you have a substantial and successful domain name background, a confidence and trust builder for prospective clients.

Very nice site.

Like the design, it's nice. What WP theme and plugins are you using?

Imo would be good to have domains listed on the homepage, but hey maybe the Google look will work. Test it. I would remove any ads. Goal is selling hot having a user navigate away from your site. :)

Very nice and easy to navigate. Great choice of colors as well. One thing though, imho if your logo was just a cloud....it would be much better imho, just because a rocket inside a cloud is a bit of an over complicated image and your referring to the simplicity and expansiveness of "air" and not the high octane speed/over exuberant amount of energy expressed in the word "rocket".

Well done!

I like it. It may be a good idea to give visitors a taste of your stuff on the home page, rather than have them click the "browse domains" button.

Whos is your target audience ? Domainers or end users. The proper implementation would depend on this.

I really like the new site. One suggestion - you only seem to have the domain extension (com, net, etc.) on the domains list style. As soon as one chooses the grid style (I like this option), you can't tell what extension each domain is. Additionally, when you put a domain name in your cart, you can't see the extension, nor extensions of similar domains. On my sites I put the extension in both the post title and the graphic image.

Also like the clean cart/payment process ... is this woocommerce on Wordpress?

No, it's different.

Please explain the difference? Prycr to me seem very simple fast and professional website, they both have the same search bar right?

prycr is a much larger project. airdn is a simple wordpress installation with with a few plugins tweaked. the two sites are very different programming wise.

Mainly, airdn is just a personal portfolio site. People can't join and submit domains like on Prycr which is more of a marketplace.

Gotcha!! thanks I see it now!

Edit just wanted to add, do not put ads on this keep it simple like Google! As Adam was saying. I very curious how this will play in endusers experience.

Simple design effective, I'm viewing on my mobile abd it works nice.

A few non developed pages, though on the domain page or the the homepage i would have like domain specials or fire sale, u know something to grab the users attention.

Like u said before I'm on mobile so thats what my review is based.

Don't tell me thats a free template, also good to see the escrow & paypal logos at the bottom of the page.

One thing the light color of the logo kind of drags on the eyes, too light.

Update:
Disregard what I said about the color of the logo, it was just up late
