The domain is holo ehemehemehem park dawt com

Ok exclude the ehem part

Just wondering if there is any news in the marketplace about such a project, or if anyone has heard something. I'm tempted to sell though

I'd see if i could negotiate more, just say 'I've been thinking and i can't sell for less than $1000' and see what they say.

It's like Deal or No Deal, do you take some money now or carry on (hold onto your domain) hope you get another offer further down the line, but same time you might not get another offer of $500, so it's up to you mate.

See with future tech no body knows, i might be wrong but me personally I'd never register a 'holo' domain, because i feel the term won't last, holo (holograms) was just used for promotional purposes, AR/MR aren't really holograms.

Iv'e had several mails from people telling me told either hold out for more or send it over to Sedo for an auction, and I really am appreciative of the response guys. Being my mothers carer atm clearly having the carrot dangled like this offer right before christmas is so tempting, as had to give up work to look after her. Ty for the offer Skyvisum, very generous, completely unexpected but that would not be the right thing to do XD. What to do lol

everyone's situation is different, go with your instinct ... if you decide to sell, consider 2x or higher counter first

Nice brandable in Holo Niche.

I'm sure you will get $2K+ offers in future. But I wouldn't sell this for under $XXXX.

Kinda would like a quick answer to this, but have settles on the price, however he has an escrow and paid using that email, yet he wants me to transfer the domain to a godaddy with a different email address.. Am I protected here?

if you invest in future technologies domain names
you may well be prepared
to wait for the future to arrive first
before you sell

My portfolio went from way over 200 domains to less than 10, just didnt have the time or money to sell or renew them all year on year, from those 10 I have now had 3 sales, people contacting me, I would have most likely let them drop tbh, couldnt keep on regging them forever. Now a lot of those domains I let drop are all becoming big news, ahh well thats life. Ill have a happy christmas now though, ty all and good luck.

Have you countered with a price?

Go in at 3 times higher and see what he says...say $1500 and see what happens

You can always take the $500 if he rejects your counter offer

If you need the capital you should consider taking the offer, sometimes i will not counter offer if the domain is not very strong as a counter offer could push the buyer away. If skyvism has offered you the 500 you should counter offer for $1000 - $1500 and see if they come up, likely would go up a couple hundred dollars.

nope, why would escrow believe you?

I wonder why escrow does not include domain escrow by default.

Maybe you could use namecheap (10% fee) or namesilo (7.5% fee) marketplace, buyer pays, domain pushed to their account.

i think you should sell it.. liquidity is the key in domaining.
although if you have enough liquidity you can hold ofcourse

I agree that this name is a killer brandable and also has the descriptive properties to match.

Def look at a nice four-figure sum to be honest.

It's a great name in a tech field which is going to explode in the future. What the buyer has done is offered you just enough money to be tempting in the run-up to Christmas. Everyone can do with some extra holiday season cash, right? Clever.

He got a great deal then, didn't haggle too hard, took $550, bird in the hand etc. Can see it making more in the future for sure.

This. I've had 10 inquiries on some of my better domains over the past 2 weeks. All offers were way below floor price and general value. I would counter, if they disappear perhaps take up the poster who offered you $500. :)

Exactly this has happened increasingly to me too over there at DNS with these minimal $500 (coincidence?) offers on some very strong domains in the past 2-3 weeks lol.. seems lots of domainer folks have read the article on Elliot's blog recently about these cheap purchase tactics before Xmas..
