Ok so I check my inbox and seen this today. What are some opinions? And how if they are serious should I go about it? Never sold a domain before. Which would be the best way to receive payment and transfer domain if they are serious.

Or is there common scams like this going around? He left all his contact info and company info at the bottom of the email

Hello!

I'm a representative of an investor from Oslo (Norway). He is interested in buying wifihopper.net.

My client has $462,000 budget for several domains. Please respond and add your price to the subject line.

If you have other domains please let me know. I may help you to find buyers.

How do you want to get paid? Escrow, Wire or Paypal?

Best Regards,

Didn't think so. But what is the purpose of his email? I don't get what he could trying to be accomplishing?

Someone else can probably give you the exact reason. Probably to eventually gain personal info or getting your domain(s) before paying.

Only thing I could see is trying to steal the names or get personal info like Michael pointed out.

That is why I posted the email here. To see if this is a frequent ploy experienced by others. I checked the company and it links back to a hosting company . So the company is real if he is from that company. Maybe he'll have a special discounted hosting package and website design to offer me in the next email

Don't even reply. Definitely an appraisal scam.
They say they need first an appraisal for your domains and they send you to purchase some appraisals... from their sites of course. Then, they will probably just vanish.
Good luck.

Very old scam. All they want is that you order a paid appraisal from them.

Very old, but I think extremely profitable, considering all the unexperienced mass trying to get into domaining world...

common appraisal scam. What he is trying to accomplish - NEW DOMAINERS READ THIS!!!!!!- is to make you to get your domain appraised at a place "that he/or his client trusts only" , which is of course their own paid domain appraisal services. You spend 80-100 bucks for appraisal... they gone. At the end you look like fool, his pocked added some income... he is happy, you are not. Delete it, dont test your luck on this.

LOL, at the point when you reached a trillion, you should have asked whether the company has the amount to pay, and asked for a 3rd party evaluation of the client
