Or so I think. I have never bought typo domains before so I am not sure what is good, great, or not worth buying. Here are the stats so please come with your thougts.

Site gets 50 000 + visitors a day

When checking search engine stats, 10 000 people search for the sites name each month and I found two typos.

100 people search for Typo 1

50 people search for Typo 2

This shows that about 1,5% of the users type the name wrong. With 50 000 visitors each day how much traffic would these domains get? I could of course just reg them and see, but the domains are foreign (not .com) and therefor cost a bit more.

One question I need to ask you DustyC is what industry are these typos for? The reason I ask is because if they’re based on a high PPC typo such as a casino gaming or poker site then the answer is simple; yes you should get them!

If you buy them and are not happy just put them up for sale as high traffic
typo domain names.

Yeah, they will probably turn out to perform well for you anyway.

Be careful that they are not in the banking or insurance industry as the company might come after you for TM infringement. ;)

First, make sure they are generic words to avoid possible TM. Then see if the .COM equivalent has high traffic or not so that it gives you a clue on the number of type-ins.

can you do that? How would you get the traffic stats of a website?

As has already been said, as long as you have decent traffic, you should be able to sell for a fair bit! :)

Hope you can tell us this name after you got them.:)

There may be TM issues if this site is a famous one!

Thanks for the feedback!

I think I will reg typo one, set up a page with relevant affiliate links and adsense and see how it does. The sites name is a generic word so I don't think they can own the rights to it. I will let you all know how it worked out when I have it online,

The industry is teens/entertainment
