ccTLD Just bought a .CM

I found a half decent .CM domain last night, so decided to do some reading up on it.

I found that the .CM reputation is a little tarnished, and heard mixed feedback on whether or not to invest in the extension.

I would like to do a little more domaining, and I know I'm going to make mistakes along the way and this may well be one of them :P

It's my most expensive purchase of a domain name at $100, so we'll see what happens.

Anyway, I'm now the owner of internet.cm.

Invest $100 to make $120 - $10 flippa fee - 20% commission on the $120 + paypal/esctow fee. You've lost more than $14..

You could of spend $100 on one good name and flip it for $500 in a month with some research.

It's not a bad .cm but you could of sell it for way more.

I think, as a domainer, spending $100 to flip for $120 minus whatever expenses, is a failure. Not something to be celebrated. I've seen your posts in other ccTLD's Jamie D, with the same logic. I've no problem with you risking your money to learn, but for me personally, I've done the same even with non.COM gTLD's, and hardly ever sell a non.COM gTLD or any ccTLD. Overall it's been a huge loss-making proposition. Stick with .COM. Maybe I'm a Dinosaur.

I kinda agree with stub.
Talking about low figures, the ROI must be definitely higher. $100 -- $120 is not a success. Unless you can manage hundreds of this kind of sales each month, this should be considered a failure.

It's not so bad for somebody getting their feet wet at the game. Most beginners will be making a loss instead.
But I agree with Stub, I would not recommend dabbling too much in oddball TLDs. Try to raise up the ante

It's a learning curve, I stay away from anything that isn't .com or .co.uk now (if I'm planning to try and flip it).

.cm(Cameroon), I'd rather stick with .us ( one of the Rodney Dangerfields) of domain extensions.....just doesn't get any respect. rather than invest in .cm domains at this moment in time.

What do you guys think about Survey.cm ? It looks good on a flyer and i registered it to promote paid survey clickbank sites. Survey.cm (cash money )

It needs development, I think. Like most of these exotic cctld's. I don't think anybody is going go come, out of the blue, and offer you any money for it without development. It's possible. But unlikely.
