Hi there NamePro Forum!

Last night as I watched the new pope be chosen I jumped online and snatched up:

Papa-Francis-1 DOT com

As the new pope is Argentinian, and the word for 'pope' in Spanish is 'papa', I thought this this might be an interesting domain to either flip or try and develop some kind of Pope site and maybe sell collectibles or something.

I am a total nube to the domain biz and would really appreciate any friendly constructive advice as to what it might be worth and what might be the best way of monetizing it.

Thanks SOO much y'all!!!

Like Primerlloc said, it has three negative factors right off the bat:

1) It has a hyphen, actually, two hyphens. Double whammy.
2) It has an irreverent number. Domains are not screen names, if one's taken you don't just add a number and register it.
3) The linguistics behind the name are off.

Additionally,

4) Pope domains aren't worth that much, if anything. If you're not the pope then why buy a pope domain? There are Catholic domains galore out there.

Please stay away from hyphen domains, domains with numbers, and domains that aren't .coms until you've lurked around here for a while. I'm quite new to this industry myself, but by no means new to the internet. The only sites I've encountered with double hyphens are those trying to scam you out of money, sell you a crap product, or phish accounts.

Just park this domain, and let it expire.

Didn't have to tell us that, 1 look at the name and we all knew it.

His title is POPE Francis (NOT Pope Francis 1) and Pope-Francis-1.com would only be 10$ max
So your name is worth a LOT less.

If you want to setup a site to sell collectibles
then papalcollectibles.com is available

I didn't take the train for the pope fever but I would like to ask you something about domains with numbers.

I'm wondering if the rule of no number applies for stuff like 3dprinter(dot)com ... etc?

thanks

Bizname. You must think in terms of concepts. A domain with a simply ordinal number in any position, does not have much value. Terms like 3D are concepts well known for the public. How do you write it? 3D, isn't it?
It's a matter of comunicating without confusions.
