High reg fee, about £50/$99 USD, but I have an excellent one word name that would have excellent potential that relates to all current affairs in Japan and possible the rest of the world.

Don't really know much about .JP ccTLD's but how much would a very good one word .JP go for? I know it's kinda vauge but a guess would be good.

It quite surprise that most of Japanese not preferred english. In my experience, they're friendly but it isn't easy if you ask for help in english.

I've also dropped the vast majority of my .JP names: the retail market in .JP domain names is moving as slow as molasses. I've kept a few names like cellular.jp, debt.jp and primerate.jp because I can use them even if I don't sell 'em, but I dropped a lot. I would have held onto them if the reg fee came down, but it's still prohibitive so: bye-bye.

The only significant and recent sale I can recall was Hotels.jp on Sedo:

for speculative generic names eg some of those mentioned above it might be better to try IDNs which are half the price. One of the jp related names I have geishas.jp I just couldn't bear to drop so I am stuck with renewing........ :)
