Hi,

Ok, I installed joomla 1.5.9.
Installed a template i want to use for my gaming website.

The problem:
I dont want to use 'articles' for content.

I wish to create standard page content, including using php code. As if it were a normal website.. not a 'blog/article' based site.

I need an extention for this? Joomla 159 doesnt have static content on it...

Help?

have you tried the support forums @ Joomla?

try Menu
Main Menu
then Home
Menu Item Type - Change Type

Select Menu Item Type
then select which one you want

Does that help?

Cheers

That just lets me chose 'article' type menu items.. and then asks for an article type.
OR external links and so on.

What i want is my links to use pages like about.php and info.php instead of the index.php?...content=2..

As if i was adding content to a normal webpage, allowing me to use all html and php code.. as it stands the only content I can add to my site is via a text box which does not process php..

If it helps, im looking to add 'static content' to a page, using any code I like. Joomla 1.5+ does not have this option as standard for some reason

Try...
Login to your admin
Click "Global Configuration".

Under Site Settings -
Choose "Editor - No Editor" from drop down for Default WYSIWYG Editor.

Good Luck.
