This is Lucy smith, new to this forum and also new to joomla, i wish to know how one can use joomla to develop php/mysql sites, kindly let me know the step by step procedure or any e-book from where i can learn it easily

You don't need to pay for an e-book. Joomla has a great support forum, where you can get answers to any question you might have. Just be sure to use the search funtion first, as many questions have already been answered before. That way you don't need to wait for a response.
