But tbh it's a hard spot. You can launch on whatever domain and get the proper one once you got the money flowing or you can get a good domain upfront but risk losing liquidity, even if it's 5x cheaper. Personally I would try to find the best one I can afford upfront, but I'm not a startup-type guy and I only ever spend my own money.

I believe they did a deal with Blue Nova which I believe is one of Kevin Ham's companies, so the name was at Venture.com which does not sell names but leases them. So he probably took the deal to lease for $960 a month. I don't know that but I am speculating.

Either way, it was probably funny to him.
