Are you at all privy as to what may come on the future websites of either "Industry.us" or "Jews.us"? If I missed pertinent information regarding either Buyers' long range plans in any of the DNJ or various publications, please excuse as tonight I'm quite fried ...

Always curious as to the Buyers' transformation/evolution of a purchased domain name(s) to an actual, functional (and hopefully, amazing) developed website(s), IMHO.
Keep up the good work!
-Jeff
I was curious as well, Check Them Out....

Jews.us $25,000

Industry.us $17,000

Interesting to say the least.

Well I would have expected industry.us to have sold for more... although the .us extension lowers it's value, it's still a GREAT keyword..

Well, since I happened to be the seller for both domains, I'd share what I know in this vain. It should suffice to say that both buyers are pretty well-to-do and experienced folks when it comes to Internet, domains and web-based ventures. Industry.us was bought by the same party that owns Industry.com and Jews.us was bought by those who own Vegas.com. One can check the whois data for all of these domains if in doubt. IMO, such folks see things clearer than others and jump in when most are still sitting on the wall....thats how they happen to be where they are in this business.

Understood binfus, no thought of hanky panky ever crossed my mind, and I'm sure fonzie was thinkin the same, simply amazing they can afford that.

My chuckle also, and the obvious story is that they can afford to free park those, and I'm just whining for the revenue that would fit right into a few holes in my wallet were those sittin up at Badgers, earning that monster keyword money.

We were all proud of that sale man, it raised spirits in every guy with 2 or 3 .us name bought on spec, and proved out in less time than any could have hoped for. I was just answerin CoolJeffs Question, :hehe:

And thank you for the skinny about the shooters.
Its gonna be a great year for domainers.

I'm pretty sure they'd make the same amount of money no matter where they were parked..

$0, you mean? Because right now they aren't making a dime at GoDaddy, methinks.

Why not pointing them to Sedo? Worried about other end users? Not wanting to dilute their brands with a "placeholder" site until the big one is ready? Spec'ing it until the future, and have decided it's not worth the effort to get a few dollars a day in parking revenue?

No chance, these aren't traffic domains.

The fact these domains sold for a nice sum of money would increase traffic to them through people like us checking out what is going on with the domain. I am astonished the domains at least aren't parked at Sedo, ND, etc. I figure the price paid for these domains they would have either been forwarded to another developed domain or developed soon.

At the very least, I would have expected the domains to be pointing to parked landing pages (other than GD's). But, maybe the $50 they would have made from parking wasn't worth the hassle changing the nameservers for them... I would be happy to do the work for them... that is: change the nameservers to point to my ND landing pages free of charge.... :)

I think you have touched on something Allan.

That could well be, keep them buried so the value cant be dimished with an actual count... keep them buried long enough so when they do launch none of yesterdays history/stats/performance follows... or.... no time to point ns

$3 per day, $90 per month ... the buyers obviously have money, and if they are for development, what difference would $90/month make to them when they shelled out $40k?

jews.us 25k

www.jew.us
