We purchased this domain name from Bob Patterson, who created the JazzGuitar.com site in 1996 and is the author of all the lessons and many of the articles that you see on the site. Bob agreed to give us publishing rights for his superb lessons and articles as long as we credited him. He has also agreed in writing to extend these publishing rights to the winner of this auction (I can forward this agreement to any serious bidder if necessary).
There are other articles on JazzGuitar.com that are not written by Bob Patterson. These authors each granted Bob full publishing rights for their content on JazzGuitar.com, but to be safe we would recommend re-obtaining explicit publishing rights from each author.
When we purchased the site from Bob in 2007, we made a few cosmetic changes and added some Google Adsense and an Amazon Store.
JazzGuitar.com is a Page Rank 5 site and usually ranks in the top 2 or 3 results for the search term "Jazz Guitar" on Google. If a buyer were to put some time into securing advertisers for the site, it could generate much more revenue. The addition of a jazz guitar discussion forum could also increase traffic.
The domain name itself would have tremendous value to a jazz educator or jazz guitar manufacturer.
