I see a decent jp company have a .jp website. And leave the .com there unregistried.
So do most Japan companies don't care about the .Com anymore?

Could be that it wasn't available when they were starting out, but it became available later on?

I have noticed that the Japanese are pretty loyal to their extension though.

I think it was owned, but web.achieve.org have nothing about it. So I guess it was owned by a domainer.
Well, I would sell it for $30 instead of dropping it...

Here I'm sharing a live example.
ssdrone.jp is a new company launch on 2017.5.
ssdrone.com is on sale for about $600.
The japan company doesn't want to buy it. So the owner is now letting it drop. I wonder if anyone would pick it up.
