With Apple pushing its soon to be launched iTV, and the recent news of them teaming up with Google, what is your appraisal on these domains?

itv is a trademark?!
I thought it was a generic acronym for internet television.

Apart from that, similar trademarks don't seem to have a problem with ....forum.tld domains.

Any other opinions on this?

So to summarise, initially they were worth $0 because of possible TM issues, then increased their worth to $1 once confirmed that Apple would not use iTV as a brand name?

Yes, but that is probably because they cannot trademark it - far too many companies in the World already use those 3 letters.

Anyhow, have 12 months reg on them, so I'm sure something positive will happen to their value in that time.

One of the main TV channels in the UK is called ITV. Im supprised Apple are allowed to call their new venture this.

You could make it into a forum for programs that are aired on ITV (UK). But i guess theres TM issues there also, although not as much as if you aimed it at the Apple iTV

Yes, being from the UK I am aware of ITV, and they also have a trademark listed in US as do another 90+ others!

Hence, I am thinking if any of them come to me to try and 'steal' these domains, I'll either just inform the others to stake their claim, or suggest to allow the courts to decide by taking into consideration all other TM holders.

For now, I'm thinking these would make good sites for discussing the imminent boom of Internet TeleVision.

Anyone want to form a partnership!
