Obviously the ccTLD works better in certain countries such as .uk , .de etc. and as usual stats can prove whatever you want

Yes basically.

If you set the geo stats to Azabijan or something I am sure both would fair badly. However, in my opinion if you want to compare something to .UK it has to be in the UK as that is where it is targetted at etc.

I know it doesnt give the same results and looks worse for .TV than what the OP wanted to say, however it has conversely shown that internationally .CO.UK can more than hold its own internationally

I would urge everyone to use the region locator to work out what is working best in their target market

I would say that this is good evidence that the .UK is good for the UK market.

.UK is underneath .COM and .NET, but above .DE and .ORG.

You actually need to set it to ".co.uk" which the variant is MUCH greater. Still a long way to go, but closing quickly...

indeed. .CO.UK is second under the .COM for the UK market.

However, Germany has the top domain extension as .DE. Which is why .DE is that little bit more healthy than .CO.UK

I think that could be a result of the language.

ie. UK will have north american and english, whereas .DE is generally focused towards germanic spellings.
