I have had very few $XXXX+ .TV sales so I cannot offer much input for this thread but perhaps others could share their insights...

Factors which could influence resale value....
one-word vs two-word valuation
English vs foreign language valuation
character length influence
search volume
videocentric (i.e. makes sense with video) vs just a word + .TV
being approached by a buyer vs reaching out to potential buyers

I would suggest that two of the main factors would be…

Does your name sound good?

Does your name have a natural audience? - and is that audience sufficient to warrant a TV channel/visual website?

Here are some thoughts:

1. Does it happen to be in a vertical that generates cash or can be monetized?

2.Does an end user have a use? Can it cash flow?

3.How much cost / risk are you willing to invest to generate a sale? 1 yr, 5 yr, 10 yr?

4.Can you use the investment into higher yielding assets?

5.What is your exit strategy?

Lastly, I will repeat that getting end users on the phone has done wonders. I have had one deal (NDA) where the buyer went up 1600% on their initial offer based off 2 conversations over the phone.

First of all when I got an inquiry I don't care if is from an enduser or a domainer. The domain has a price for me and I don't care who wants it. It's an asset and his value doesn't change in my mind.

That said I try to think about the keyword and see how it fits the extension.
Just i.e. I sold "Salute" (health in Italian) for more than "Wines" and I'm happy about it. You can have a lot of visual content about health (plus it's an high paying sector) while wines are not so easy to make video about.
In dot com it would be a total madness just to compare the 2 keywords.

I don't market any of my names anymore. If you offer something it immediately loose a lot of value.

Regarding outbound marketing, I do get a lot of inquiries for price quotes but they don't convert well. Given that one's time has a value, I am not convinced that outbound marketing efforts are worth the effort unless you are willing to sell your best names for $XXX.
